Subject: Cache Error / Archive Q

Every once in a while I get an error when processing a cache in the
effects tree. I may be inclined to errors elsewhere when processing
but since I have been doing almost everything in a tree it seems to
show up for me there. After the error I'll see the "render bar" has
intermittent red areas where it didn't process and non-red areas
where it did. I re process then it works on the remaining red
areas. I'm still getting by, but It seems odd. Anything I should
look for to fix this?

ALSO:

I'm very happy to search archives to find answers previously talked
about. I am an After Effects forum leader over at The Cow and it
bugs me when somebody has asked a question that has been debated into
the ground before so I point them to archives (but the Cow archives
are excellent). However the search on the softimage site isn't
helpful. I have to wade through tons of XSI comments to find a DS
comment making the whole process very slow to find anything. Is
there a good way to just search the archives of this list and this
list only?
