Did you use the UPS on both ends or just the side where the monitors
are?

Hey Tom, are they plugged directly into the wall or through a UPS or

conditioner. By their nature these boxes are very prone to AC
fluctuations.
I used to get blinking black screens all the time until I went with an
APC
UPS...
