Hi Timon,
Just a quick comment - I've always found Matt to be very helpful. I wouldn't call it a "lack of etiquette" but he may not be in a position where it is possible to give a reply. When you work for a company you do have some restrictions and Matt has to live within his company just like I do - at least as long as I want to keep cashing my paycheck :-)
I spoke with Matt and Allan H. at NAB Post recently and believe me - they are feeling the pressure!

Mark,

I know I did a similar thing myself at NAB, and the mail was a follow up... my remark was more about Mr Allard's lack of ettiquette, than a reference to your post about the opportunity to have an impassioned DS owner/operator remind him who it is that keeps him in employment! No offence intended to yourself or the idea...

Cheers

Timon,

It may be pointless, but it's analogous to the thread about sending Avid letters; a face-to-face meeting has a somewhat greater impact than e-mail or even mail, IMHO. I know that I've seen Tony addressing the issues du jour at these affairs, and it defintiely looked like the point was being driven home!!

Hey all,

Sorry for the late notice, but as you can see from this e-mail that I've re-posted, I just found out yesterday. If anyone can make it from the DC area (I can't), they may be able to get an answer or two out of Matt, separating what's fact from what's Phony! (sorry)
