The color correction on the 1080 23.98 seq is for film out(way illegal levels) so clipping it to broadcast specs looks bad. Client likes the way the textless SD master looks. That is my dilemma.

Why not just output the 1080 23.98 timeline to NTSC w/pulldown?  The Nitris will do this.

Subject: hd23.98 to SD timeline

Finished a 1080 23.98 film with supplied tiffs for titles. Now client wants a titled NTSC version using his broadcast SD master. I could not import HD seq into SD timeline due to different frame rates. I went the way of edl export convert import and then manually re edited the titles. Is there a better way to do this? The tiff files were the same name but the edl destroyed the relationship to the timeline. I thought someone figured out a way to get still files to come across regardless of frame rate.  thanks
