This question has to do with deleting clips that have been imported, but linked, not copied, into a project. My query is: If I import and link 20 clips but only use ten, (or none for that matter), how do I break the link to the remaining clips? In other words, I always end up with all twenty going into the archive, when I only need the ten to restore it properly. I have deleted the clips (data), emptied recycle bin, yet the link/path remains. Is this a RTFM issue?

A second purge/archive thought is wouldn't it be great to have a dialouge box that would allow one to purge material from containers (timewarp/expand-contract), perhaps giving it handles, but deleting unused part of the clip....would be a huge time saver.

Any thought would be appreciated as always.

cheers
Matt
