Yes, turn it on, but only half-way. Let it download them but allow YOU to choose when to install. Don't have it work fully automatically of you'll suddenly wonder why your DS is running slow and why your workstation spontaneously rebooted ;-)
Montreal like Norton (Symantec) but it gave me some obscure crashes on my Nitris system when I had it installed. So I moved over to McAfee with no problems other than it tends to be a bit of a memory hogger.
