FWIW my office uses trend micro virus too and i haven't had any 'lost media' problems, but i do sometimes get the 'unrendered in the morning' problem

Now, the strange thing is that if you load any of those clips into the Media Tool the media that belongs to he clip is still associated with it. If I load those clips into the source monitor or cut them into a sequnce the media is missing. I have restarted the software several times when this happened and saw no improvement. I did not restart the computer. Could it be that the media indexer does not like the network settings? I am logging in with full administrator privilleges. We installed a virus scan program called Trend Micro Office Scan several weeks before I started noticing the problem.
