We used one in a truck that caused frame syncs all over the country to stutter-frame each transition that was not a cut during a Presidential debate...

T-Coms were GPIs in Convergence editing systems (ECS 90,103,204).  Joystick shuttle control.  This was the first computerized edit system I worked on in the late 80s.

I'm stumped!  Never heard that one.

Is it a Sony editing system thing, because I've never edited on any other linear system than GVG.

 i can deal with that. then again, a linear editor does none of these things, they just work when you push the button. no HAL errors, no rendering, or Drives error. or capturing...
