I'd like to add my thanks as well,
Marianna.
And while I can't speak for others, I suspect at
least part of the frustration with response time has more to do with the
relative silence from Avid concerning DS since this year's NAB and Symphony
Nitris announcement than the recent list threads.
Again, I appreciate the efforts of you and others to
respond to our concerns about our past, present, and future investments in the
DS product.

right people do listen to the voices of the users. It would really be
gratifying to know that the manufacturer/designers are concerned about what the
people that use the product are saying.

Thanks for jumping into the frey. Thank you also
for taking our petitions to higher sources. Please let us know (if you
can) what response you get to the passion of over 100 users.

of the DS-list…. Matt and I have been collecting
all the posts and sending them to the appropriate people at
Avid. BTW…….. I read a few emails yesterday regarding
Avid’s response time. Come on now… Rick’s email that started the
thread was posted on Thanksgiving Day. Most Avid employees didn’t even
begin to get wind of the thread until this Monday/Tuesday of this week. No
excuses here but it was after all a holiday weekend.
Anyway, we have been working to
get the right people together to discuss the recent “call for answers” thread on
the list. One of the gatherings happened yesterday so Avid has heard you and
this has been escalated and people are working on communicating Nitris
positioning and plans within the next few weeks. Hang tight until we can get a
message out to the masses.
