	Hi Jon

Unfortunately expressions are not supported in graphics.
However, for that particular effect, you could create your artwork with RGBA graphics
over a black transparent clip, slap a dissolve on top of that and drive it's amount value
(of the dissolve, that is) through expressions.

This can be achieved using filters or tree nodes, as you see fit.

	Hope this helps,
	Ben

hey everyone,

I have a newbie question about animating text. I need to create a
flashing red dot and rec to simulate looking through a viewfinder of a
camera. My initial though is to create those elements in the graphics
layout and then animate the opacity.
Is there a way to create an expression for the graphics elements or am
I stuck hand key framing this? Or is there a better way to approach
this?

thanks
