Yep, Support are currently investigating the DF/NDF offset.

Regards,
Tone :)

After extensive testing at Modern, we've determined that sequences, using
the AFE conform method, or the AAF method, will be -3:14 offset per hour.
Meaning, hour 1 conform will be offset instead of 1 hr, will be 59:56:10,
hour 2 offset will be -7:04 and so on and so on.

The real catch to this, is that it's not a fault of MediaLog, but rather a
nice nifty feature that Avid added in to DS 7.6 QFE3. (and possibly prior
versions of 7.6

I exported from Symphony v5 4 different confrom methods, AAF, OMF2, Avid
Links-DS (basically omf2) and of course, the avb to afe method.

They're all exported from exactly the same sequence, with 1 clip. The OMF
files were perfect, the AAF and AFE files came in with the above mentioned
offset.

Being that the omf2 files, and the aaf file came directly from symphony, and
yet the afe and aaf file came up the same, logically, it's not the
conversion process in medialog, but the afe/aaf conform engine in DS 7.6.

Any other findings would be great, as we chalk up another series of upset
clients and extended hours to an Avid glitch. But I'm sure our clients will
understand....

You should upload the sequences & AFE's to DS support so they can track the
bad AFE's & fix it.

Actually, we've been getting bad AFEs from MediaLog 22.1.5 on our DS system.
Same with exporting AFEs directly from Adrenaline 2.1.1

We have been able to get good AFEs by taking the Adrenaline bin file over to
Xpress Pro 4.5. A new version of Adrenaline is available (2.2.1) that
supposedly fixes AFE conform issues. An updated MediaLog is available with
the new Adrenaline update, but I don't know if it has been 'okayed' for use
on DS yet.

Media Log QuestionSchy,

Both the version shipping with 7.6 and the older version are no longer
valid. They produce AFEs that have certain conform issues, such as missing
motion curves and unsupported effects.

Unfortunately, the Media Log Version on the download site is the old version
that produces bad AFE's - PEOPLE FIX THIS!

You need Media Log V22.1.x - This ships with Phony Nitris

AFE's produced in Xpro HD v5.2 are very solid and all the effects of issue
are coming across. AFE's from early versions of XPro has compatibility
issues.

Cheers, Bill A
