Title: 4K Advice
Hello Everyone in looking for advice,

I have  a project coming up that will be using scanned 4K source material. We are currently on DS Nitris 7.5 (QFE4) HP8000, and from what I’ve gathered linking to DPX files will not be an option without upgrading to 7.6 and the machine to a HP8200. And even then, I can’t seem to find out if the DS would be able to play them. 2K seems okay, 4K seems a little grey.

In light of this I’m considering having all the scans done to TIFF instead, knowing that I’ll have to capture everything, and that I might need to get an AE station involved. Does anyone with experience working in 4K and have any suggestions for workflow? Any downsides to using TIFF over DPX?

Much appreciated,

Troy
