So the color correction should just cut at the edit point but it was still being ignored as if the blend between clips was still there. Am I missing something?
Hi Jon,
I don't do any shows where I must take a FCP sequence, so I hope someone
with more experience along those lines will respond, but I have had
imported timelines where the dissolves come in as a separate clip. Remove
the dissolve and click on the clip on either side of the edit point and see
if a hidden clip appears that is the length of your removed transition.

Hey Everyone,
I'm trying to iron out my workflow for chopping up an edited master for color correction and could use some advice.
I took and edl from a FCP sequence and ran it through edl processor. I copied the record TC to source and renamed all of the sources to the same name. This part works great and the sequence conformed nicely with all the edit points where they should be.
I have a couple of questions that I hope someone will be able to help me out with.
1. The dissolves from FCP are conformed as blend between clips with a spline curve. Is there a way to have the dissolves come in as a dissolve with a linear curve?
2. When color correcting two clips with the same blend between clips on the transition, it seems as though the color correction effect is ignored during the blend between clips on both the outgoing and incoming clips. Also I removed the blend between clips and got the same results with the color correction. So the color correction should just cut at the edit point but it was still being ignored as if the blend between clips was still there. Am I missing something?
thanks
