For #8, if you want to rename an effect already on the toolbar, apply it to a clip, open the properties editor and redrag it to the user toolbar while holding SHIFT. This will then prompt you for a name. Then you can delete the original button. There's no way to actually rename it once it's there.

Hey Rick,

For # 7, if you want to keep your layout, but just quickly see everything, you can select the timeline and hit F12 and that will expand your timeline to fill the screen. And if you have the Record viewer selected it will make THAT fill the screen. Hit F12 again to go back to regular viewing.

For # 8, I could swear that Tony had a way to name an effect AFTER you already dragged it onto the Toolbar, but I can't remember it right now.

Cheers!

7.   Can I size the Timeline vertical size.  Now that there are all those damned MEDIA COMPOSER buttons under the viewers, I find that having multiple audio and video tracks requires alot of scrolling with the hand tooly.  Can I size tracks ???

8.  Can't re-name user effects on User toolbar.  Used to ask you a new name before you
drag them over?

THANKS........Rick at nakedeye
