Hi DS'ers...I just got a question from our head DS Artist - and wasn't quite sure of the answer. He's still trying to find an optimal workflow for AFE's or Avid Bins that come over to the DS with lots of linked quicktimes or stills - The interminable wait while Windows or DS looks for the path where the original files existed. (Note- is there a way to remove this path? Or at least tell the DS to ignore it, and just ask where the files are immediately?)
Anyhow, while mucking about, he found "Optimize File Sources" under "Data Management", and asked me what it does, which I had no idea of. I searched the .PDF manual online, but couldn't find it. We're on DS 7.6, QFE3, Nitris HW.
