Hi Chris,
Nope.
When Assemble editing, the tc generator will obey the
Free run/Rec run setting PLUS the Regen/Preset setting PLUS the Int/Ext setting.
When Insert editing the tc generator is only concerned with recording VITC and
will look ONLY at the Regen and Int/Ext settings. It will ignore
"Free/Rec" if "Regen" is selected because the two conflict and "Regen" takes
preference.
Regards,
Tone :)

Tone,I remember somewhere along the way at the last place I worked when using an A500 there was an error with the VITC when the deck was set to regen and so we always set the deck to internal, preset, and free run and then the two timecodes matched. I know on Beta SP the deck goes in regen. Had anyone else heard of this with early versions of the A500? I just did an output to our A500 and the two match.Joe----- Original Message -----Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 2:04 PMSubject: Re: Layout To TapeEr, actually, Free or Rec Run is irrelevant, and it should be in Regen not
Preset.
Other than that you were spot on Joe ;-)
