Hello Russ,
This happens with me sometimes when I mess with the "Button Theme"
customizing feature of toolbars.
Try right-clicking over one and choose the "Button theme>EVO (default)",
then if it doesn't completely go away just restart the app.

They've been replaced with some kind of default system buttons with a
