Have you tried using WinZip
since the discovery? If it works, I would look into getting a new Chief
Engineer who would test software before he proclaims " no difference". ;-) If it still doesn't
work, then it must be related to how you are zipping it, as others
have pointed out.

Hey
Howard,
That's an interesting question. Originally we had winzip in the DS's
and all was well. Then the Chief Engineer did some house cleaning and
gave the winzip to another workstation, and instead of buying another
winzip license for the DS's, he downloaded enzip, which is free...no
difference he says. Well, as part of trying to figure this problem out,
we reloaded winzip and tried again to restore the archive, just to get
the"invalid archive" prompt. So...now what?

Subject: Restoring an archive
Hi all...
This may have already been answered...but... we are having a restore
problem with a lot of our recent archives. Vers 7.6 Nitris. The
projeects in question have been archived in the usual fashion, zipped
and stored on disc. Now, having upzipped the archive, and trying to
restore it, DS says it is not a valid archive. DS will restore an
archived that has not yest been zipped. But if we zip it, then unzip
it
, it becomes invalid. Anybody else see this? Is there a solution, or
are
theser zipped archives just somuch trash?
Thanks in advance...
