Firstly you should be running QFE3.
I've been running Tinder v4.1 on v7.6 since beta with no severe problems
whatsoever. I have experienced some occasions of "The effect has failed"
with some of the heavier effects (like T_Glow) at 16 bit, and I've seen
others on this list report the same problem. However, it's not a
universal problem, so there's something a little bit different with my
system (maybe my Virus Scanner). Processing Tinder at 8 bit however has
been rock solid for me.
The Foundry are also currently working on a new build of Tinder 4 for DS
which may address the 16 bit problem.
