Hi there Howard,

There are Three DS systems in Charlotte, a Nitris at Billy Graham and two Equinox at Film Foundry (formerly Post Central).

There is a DS Nitris for demo use at Clarke Powell right now, and because I am one of the only people in Charlotte who is DS savy I get to go there and do little projects on it all I want.  But they are looking to sell the box for about $90,000 since this market is not really geared towards that kind of post production just yet.

I used to work at INSP before going to Images and now I free lance there quite a bit as well as the Film Foundry and some at Billy Graham.

INSP/ Media com did do a stock car show for a while but of course Speed Chanel is their main client now, so everything there has been upgraded from the old PTL equipment...FINALLY!  All the old Grass switchers were replaced with Kalypso's and as far as Avid they have several Adrenaline rooms.  They also have several linear rooms there as well; two sony 9100s and two of the Kalypso rooms are also edit suites as well.

I have heard your name mentioned before although I can't remember where.  How long have you been gone from Charlotte?

Good to hear from a former Charlottian.
