The only way to no for sure is to get hold of the post house that mastered
it.
Is it a commercial or Doccie/Feature if the quote a duration in the tape
report (if they have one) then check what the duration is meant to be select
25psf or 50i and verify if the duration matches at 25/50 as stated in
another reply 59.94 will not deal with the audio or the timecode (F500)
23.98 will deal with both 4% longer duration over all & pitch change on
Audio.

Sounds like a live one good luck I'm going home now.

Graham/Marc;

We've finally got the deck in......Here's were my inexperience with the 500
come into play....The tape was NOT labeled correctly (or at all) and does
not clearly state the frame rate?? How do I tell?? Does/will the deck tell
me?? Right now I'm shooting in the dark!! and checking all the frame
rates...would be nice to know for sure!!

Isn't all this the same as what I had written in the first place? If you
have a 30 sec spot, I needs to remain a 30 second spot, not 31,32,33, or 34.
The 4% increase does no good. He's using master tapes, and needs to re-purp
them for the US market (NTSC). They still need to be 30. So either way, he's
going to need to do a time warp which equals render time. Or go get a UFC
and do it that way.
