It seems the lag happens after I double click on a few sequences. Eventually one of the sequences will take a long time to load (like 20 seconds or so) then from then on when I double click clips to see them in the viewer they are taking a looong time to load.

However the sequences are all very simple. Just 30 cuts of 10:1 compressed clips with almost no effects on them yet.
