ver 7.6 QFE 3 on a Compaq evo w8000.

Another thing to try is to subclip out the silent portion of the clip,
purge that media and recapture.

Hi Liz,

Well you blew my theory.  Just curious,  when you say "had this issue
also since upgrading",  to which version upgrade are you referring?
