I've installed all of the upgrades for the Equnox system. So I went from
Ver 6 to ver. 7.01 to 7.5 to 7.6. Didn't have the issue in 7.5, near as I
can remember.

Hi Liz,
I think the question should have been "upgraded from what version to
what version." Captures and recaptures in version 5 changed
significantly in version 6 when the MC style interface was introduced.

ver 7.6 QFE 3 on a Compaq evo w8000.
Another thing to try is to subclip out the silent portion of the clip,
purge that media and recapture.
