Subject : project set-up questions
Hi all, I am starting my first HD project on DS 7.5. But, I am also doing the off-line on the same system. I am wondering what the best way would be to set-up my project and any other things I need to keep in mind. The project is using strictly stock footage from (mostly) Nat'l Geographic (but there may be other sources as well). What we have now are VHS screeners that I will bump up to Beta SP for the off-line. Once we have picture-lock, I will be ordering the footage in HD. Should I find out the final specs from NatGeo (1020i or 720p etc..) now? Can I set up a SD sequence in low-rez and then use it as reference for the HD footage? To add complexity, the final show will actually be three HD screens next to each other. Is there a way in DS to view three screens next to each other in one sequence. ie, make a sequence 720 pixels x3 wide and put three pieces of video in it? I appreciate any and all thoughts on this topic that will make it flow as easily as possible. !
  Thanks a lot!
