Hi Mike,
Having as much information upfront is always much better. Otherwise you
find yourself upconverting, downconverting, crossconverting, 24p, 23.98,
59.94, 29.97, 30, 1080p, 1080i, 720p...a bit of a mess trying to mix and
match. I'd aim to have everything as close to your deliverable format
as possible which will probably mean for DS - Coming out of the deck
with an upconvert to 1080i then inputting to the deck with a downcovert
back to 720p (someone with more HD experience hop in here).
Also - in relation to the three pieces side-by-side. You can watch it
on the computer but it will be really tiny and since it is custom -
won't playback on any standard monitor.
Sorry about the "eye-matching." Hope you've got a helper to help log
timecodes from the masters when they arrive.

Murf,
Thanks for the info! Very helpful. I am working on Nitris. 7.5.
Regarding frame rate-- should I get a specific answer about that befroe
I start? I will be doing "eye-matching" and that sucks, but there is no
way around it. Thanks again for the advice.
