You'll have to multi-select the two shapes which make up the O, or P, or
R or whatever. Then select Combine Shapes (should be on the right side
of the desktop).

OK, did that, have the element in 3d dve.
How do I make the insides of Os "empty". The help section talks about
the graphics tool. And I am not seeing corresponding selections in 3d
dve.
