Check out the video clip showing off the "great tracking and
stabilization". It looks like the same old wobbly Symphony tracker with
a few more buttons. If you listen to the monotone narration over the
clumsily executed demo, you'll hear that you can track using the
"Correlation" mode--the "tracker that's used on the DS Nitris" or the
new "Fluidmotion" mode, which is implied as being superior unless you're
only tracking "small areas".
Whatever, watching this guy grind through his simple demo on that
familiar old clunky interface is somehow both painful and hilarious.
Part of the message now appears to be: "we have incorporated some of the
old DS tools into the new HD Symphony Nitris".
I wonder if we'll benefit from the inclusion of the Fluidmotion tracking
technology in DSv8... or if the development only gets shared in one
direction.
