	From what we have experienced, you can put it back to auto, as long
	as you change the selection manually first...It seems you have to shake it
	out a bit. Funny thing is that once it happened, it wont do it again for
	a very ling time.

And you will have to deselect any auto function in the capture setting 
to make the choice work properly.
