When the OMF is exported from Pro Tools, there's a selection to "Make Avid Compatible". Basically, what this does is pad all the sample-accurate edits out with silence to land on frame boundaries. This needs to be seleced in order to get the OMF over to DS or Avid. However, we generally just output broadcast WAV format for the DS - much less complicated.

A project was off-lined at my shop in FCP and sent to Audio Post House as OMF file.

They are working on Pro Tools and it opened fine and they did all mixing.  I have asked them
to send the final mixes ( 33 x :30 ) back as an OMF as I was under the impression that my
new Nitris could import OMF audio.

I just did a test of the same file that was sent to them and no joy.  When I open OMF tool and try to import, I get a message that says the "Video Rate" does not match current sequence, Do I want to import anyway?

The OMF was done at 48K / 24 bit / 29.97.      I have set those same settings to my new sequence.  It is just a Standard Def Digi Beta project.

Any help is appreciated on this as I am supposed to be doing this in an hour.

( Otherwise, back to horse and buggy.  33 x :30 as .wav files with 2 beep. )

AAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGRRRRRRR.

THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
