OK, here’s a little trick I learned a long time ago that saved me tons of frustration, anxiety, trouble ... etc.  DON’T DO IT IN 3D DVE! DO IT IN A PROPER 3D APP.
If you’re not savvy with 3D, get an animator to do it. Or, if you do feel adventurous, get a basic 3D app like Cinema 4D or XSI Foundation.

Now that Mr Heiser  got me moving, I am playing with an extruded 3d logo.

Is there any  control over the Profile depths?  Small, medium and large
all seem to  be  really too large.  So large as to be unusable.  Or maybe
I just need spoon fed the directions to the buttons.

Also,   any tricks to getting lighting to be a bit more intuitive?  I
want to be able to add spot slights to various parts of the Logo as it
moves.

Thanks,

Jef
