CDs are printable and we use the Epson PrintCD software that came with the R300
printer.

I use Adobe InDesign with a DYMO Labelwriter. Fast and painless.
InDesign is overkill, but I'm a stickler for good kerning (I worked prepress
before coming into the film/video world) and love a good professional desktop
publishing app. :-)
We have our labels preprinted with logo and color background and we
just print the black text with the DYMOs. It's not the best text quality in the
world, but it's usually good enough and definitely fast.
