We have serial versions of the tablets, but I have observed any drivers beyond 4.71 do the same thing. I have been using 4.71 since it was released and have never had the problem. VIE complains about living in the past - but so be it!

It used to happen to me occasionally in my last setup, but now with 2 five metre powered USB extenders it happens every minute or so.

Waggling the mouse always makes it spring back into life so it's not a disaster - just irritating.

If there's no cure then I'll just live with it.
