yeah, but don't RUN them at the same time. you must QUIT DS, run medialog, QUIT medialog, before re running DS.
( i read this somewhere, but don't remember why.)

Hi Jeff,

You might like to download medialog from www3.softimage.com.

This is a utility which can take a MC sequence and make it into an AFE
and I use it all the time.

This can happily be installed on your DS workstation.

Subject: Xpress Pro on DS workstation

I recall a thread a while back inquiring about installing Xpress Pro on
a DS workstation. I wasn't able to locate the previous thread so....
Has anyone installed Xpress Pro on a DS and with what results. We do not
actually intend to edit, but simply to load bin files from offline
Adrenaline systems and then create AFE files. The Adrenalines, or the
way the DS interprets them, tend to create AFEs with holes on the
timeline and changing tape sources to file based sources. The only
workaround we have found is to load the bin files onto Xpress Pro in our
student area. It always creates solid AFEs. However, the student area
tends to get locked at night and management doesn't seem to want to
provide a key (Oh, the joys of working for a large bureaucracy). Any
thoughts or experiences on installing Xpress Pro on DS will be
appreciated.(DS Nitris 7.6, QFE 3)
