Thanks again. Do you mean by that everything should be "centre, keep original size"?

Mmmhh...That could be it...Dropping you link directly in the HD
should take a bit less memory.
SIDENOTE: Unless all media conversions are set to keep the media size as is
(in both SD and HD), your SD "preview" won't necessarily show you what you will
get when dropping the link clip inside the HD sequence.

Thanks Benoit.
The sequence is just one clip that I've been working on. I thought it'd be quicker for preview if I did it in SD first but I think that the linked file may be too big, especially if the system has to calculate two aspect ratio conversions on top of it. It's a map of the world, about 8200 pixels wide.

Hi John
Have you tried splitting your work in several sequences?
This should help a bit. The "multiple conversion" tag on your clips
is expected: it's the conversion from your link file to SD, and then to
HD.

Hi everyone.
I'm designed an animation using a hi res linked file at SD res. I thought that I would then be able to pull the whole animation into a high res seqence but if I do this I get an "insufficient memory" error. I cannot play back or render the clip. If I look at the conversion mode of the clip it says "multiple conversions".
If I was designing this clip from scratch in HD I'm sure that the system could handle it. Is there anything I'm missing?
Thanks,
John
