Right-click (using the mouse) My Computer, click Manager, then Services. Find the Tablet service, stop and start it. Somebody has written a batch file to do this but I don’t have it handy.

This occasionally happens to me. I just give the mouse a quick tap and the tablet and pen will be happy again.

If you lose the pen, i.e., the pen doesn't have any control of the cursor anymore, what's the quickest way to get it back?

The pen is still communicating with the wacom tablet, but nothing's getting through to the computer.
