Hi DS Hardware Gurus;

I knew I wouldn't get through this DS Nitris rebuild without some kind of question!  Here goes:

Well, I have managed to sucessfully restore the operating system, re-authorize XP with Microsoft, install the DS drivers and software, setup the network and configure the storages.  DS actually is working OK, but I have one nagging problem (so far).  Everytime I reboot (and frequently afterward) I get a "New Hardware" notice saying the "Adaptec AltEvo U320 SCSI Processor Device" needs to be installed.  Well, I have installed and uninstalled and re-installed the Ultra SCSI drivers on the DS drivers disk several times, to no avail.  I noticed, however, that the Devices list TWO SCSI interfaces;  The Adaptec and an LSI Logic.  Which is the one I need?  If I disable either one, I lose my SCSI Media Dock drive array.  If I re-enable them, the array comes back, but I get the Hardware warning again.

The SCSI storage array seems to work just fine.  But the warnings are annoying and I am sure they will "pop up" at bad times in the future, so I would like to get rid of them.

(By the way, this is a used system, which I am re-installing in our facility.  I have replaced the original system drive with a bigger drive, which I am doing the "clean" intstall upon, keeping the original drive as a backup.  When I booted to the original drive, I do not get the warnings.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and...    GO STEELERS!!!!

(Sorry)
