Hi Frey,
We do not offer this service in house, but another facility in my market
does and I have several clients who demand their spots are traffic'ed this way
in lieu of Beta SP / Fed Ex.
They charge $25 to encode each :30 spot and $18 each to upload.
They include electronic traffic info.
Another client has us send a Digi Beta directly to Fast Channel in New York
as I believe
they waive the encode fee and simply charge to upload.
This workflow is cost-effective if you are sending the SAME spot to
MULTIPLE locations.
HOWEVER, if you have a project where say you tagged 30 spots for 30
markets, the multiple encode charge and upload become competitive with the Beta
SP / Fed Ex scenario.
I used to be leary of the early encoders like Minerva as I could always see
artifacts when
I saw the spots aired, but the Telestream spots look great to my
eyes.
In closing, I have used Fast Channel send a spot ASAP for a station
that needed a spot that
Fed Ex could not delvier in time and it got there lickety split.

We've just purchased a Telestream Clip Mail Pro box and are going to start distributing our clients' tv ads through the Fast Channel distribution network. |
