Hi Richard,

I have waited for more than 20 min for it. Do you think something wrong with it. Also I took a long time to have the sequence sync with the media.
For example, when I load a sequence with heavy layering and compositing effects tree that i have been working on for the past couple days, it took more than 5 min to be able see the media and to able to play back. The little green "S" icon on the right bottom screen was not lit till the media when back online. It cause a nuisance especially in clients driven environment.

Do you think it got to do with the large amount of projects I have in my projects roots? I have about 15 projects under \\dsnitris \ds_projects.

BTW, the UMMDS.exe still hovers around 50 % IN CPU when DS is launch. Is this normal.

Thanks in advance.
Kean

Assuming it's a dual CPU machine, it's actually taking 100% of a cpu during startup. After indexing is finished the load should drop to zero. You really want to wait until it finishes before launching DS.

hi all,

I have been monitoring cpu processes recently and found out that unmds.exe has taken 50% of the cpu. Even before DS was launch.
Is this normal or I am just being paranoid.
