Yes the small cables count.
You should try to stay within 10 feet of cable and the faster the array the more critical it is.
You must carefully observe termination standards for the SCSI
Better to extend KVM

Subject: Semi OT: SCSI Cables Max Lenght

Guys,

I'm moving to another building and, For the sake of silence,  I'd like
to have the disk array  (12 External Avid 146Gb disks) in the Technical
Operation room aside the Online Suite, but I have some doubts:

Anyone knows for sure if 6 meters is the real max lenght for a single
end SCSI?
Dual scsi would be 3 meters?
All the small cable joining the 12 scsi external disks also count?

TIA,
Nacho
