I try not to kill the messenger. Is she being a good advocate for us?
I don't know. Perhaps after taking our messages up the line she got
chewed out so bad for representing us and not the stockholders that this
was all she could offer. Let's face it, I didn't think Marianna had a
ton of pull to begin with but she at least had the guts to talk on the
list and respond several times when no one else at Avid would. In
addition, she came back with the polite - albeit lame - response at all.
I'm disappointed in the response, since it is official, and I'm placed
in a position where I must look into my crystal ball and make a decision
about how much longer I should stay on this course (I have time
corporately to make a decision because my company moves slowly anyway -
I don't have time professionally, I'm already behind learning software
and operations to keep up with the likes of Victor Wolansky - I wish I
had spots like that to play with to keep my chops up).
I do appreciate her trying to offer hope - trying and doing are two
different things. I would have been happier if she had actually given
hope. I'm guessing she's getting hit from both sides (although most
responses on this list have been generally kind).

Oh come on, it was pure marketing blurb and her job title is "customer
advocate".
It was just Avid's polite way of telling us that we just lost the case.
