well well...

It turns out that when I disable the reference on the HD130, sync is ok. Is there a way to disable sync on the Equinox? i've tried disconnecting both the genlock input and the sync cable, but didn't solve my problem. There must be a way?

I just connected the miranda to our HD130 and the signal comes out of
sync there too. So it's not the equinox and it's not the camera
either: the colorbar out of the Miranda to the HD130 also comes out of
sync.

I'll recontact Miranda tomorrow.

thank you both!

Make sure you have the most updated version of the firmware for the
miranda. Contact the company if you have to. That is what we did
when having sync problems. God Speed.

Soryy can't help as we have a Nitris rather than the Equinox.
Can't imagine the TriSync will make any differnece as the Miranda
can't be
referenced (nor can the HDV deck)
So the capture has to free lock to the incoming HD-SDI signal.
I presume you have tried various deck templates. I think they
suggest the
DVW-500 template.

Subject: Miranda HDV sync problems

Hello

We are trying to capture HDV material using the Miranda
HD-Bridge, but the picture gets offset verticaly once
captured. It seems the DS had a problem syncing the Miranda ouptut.

When we do a Live capture, it captures fine, all synced up.
It's the Tape capture (batch capture) that is problematic.
Batch capture is supported with the Miranda and our workflow
depends on it.

When we playback from the HDV camera, our HD-SDI monitor
display a correctly synced picture at all time. This monitor
is hooked up to the HD-SDI output of the Equinox. I'm not
sure if the monitor itself corrects the sync, or if the sync
problem lies between the BOB and the PCI card.

Tape capture works fine with our Panasonic HD130, so it's
between Miranda and DS.

Also, since we updated the firmware of the Miranda to 2.04,
the RS422 control seems erratic: it starts to play, then
stops. We have to hit play 3 times before it plays correctly.

So my question is... is there anyone using a Miranda
HD-Bridge sucessfully with an Equinox-based DS? Miranda tech
support told us that the HD bridge was only tested with Nitris....

Also, we do not have a tri-level sync, only a SD blackburst
generator.
We have tried disconnecting it from the Equinox.

Thanx,
Annaël Beauchemin
