I think he meant that avid may not promote this new list, but rather their
forum. But I know I (and others I'm sure) will check the forum every so
often just to check, and be sure to send any new users to the best list
there is. I think it would still be in Avid's best interest to tell people
about this list, even if it isn't used by support. Some of the most talented
minds around the globe are here, and 90% of things we can solve on our own.
