C'mon...  if it's too hard to serve the community in the community's best interests... how is it any easier to serve the community with propaganda?
Hell...  that email's even got picture attachments and official information direct from Avid....  more than the DS List was ever allowed.

Your company screwed up as usual, and for the first time the userbase was able to do something about it.
Nothing against you personally, but I hope your employers are astute enough to pick up on the fact that there's a MAJOR lesson to be learned here...
I'm not counting on that happening, but in case someone's looking for a trail of breadcrumbs one day...  well, you know.

Just checking:

With the unmanageable trouble caused by the DS list, will the Avid In-Focus spam mailing list be shut down as well?

Perhaps you should move the Avid In-Focus spam mailing list to a place where people can read it on
"the more robust and secure environment of the Avid Community Forums."

The benefits of this move be as clear as the reason to kill off the DS list.
