hi rob,
unfortunately the DS won't consolidate from file based sources. (it does consolidate tape based media)  so if you imported a 5 min. audio track, and made 10 edits, the DS would export the whole 5 min clip 10 times, quickly making ginormous OMFs.  the only work-around i know of, besides purging all the media except for what's in your sequence, is to subclip all the imports... select each clip, mark in and out, match frame, subclip the marked region, and then replace the selected clip in the timeline with your subclip.  not very elegant, huh?

I've found that the OMF export function on the DS ( I have versions 6.5 and 7.1 ) doesn't consolidate media, thus generating HUGE files. Is there a fix for this?
