Here's what I think. What we could do is write a new & refined request, have one of us post it on the Avid Forums - and then get all 404 subscribers to the new list to add their aye to it. That might make an impression.

I think the original request was quite clear, and anyone who even looked in on the list for a day would pick up on the level of unrest and the concerns being had by the DS userbase.


The fact is AVID is a company, like any other, driven by money. They really have no clue about their customer base, and have no definitive plans for DS's future or they would have said by now -- but they can't (and won't) just come out and say they're letting DS die. Like many other companies run by clueless men in suits (hello Enron!) we won't know for sure we've been screwed until it's already too late.
