In fact Scott, I'm so wary of media composer 7.x that I'm still happily
running 6.5.1.   I'm still wasting so much time on the DS I've none left
over to even think about loading 7.x  but I can't imagine any nle software
being farther off the mark than DS1.0 was and I'm still awed by how little
advancement, operationally, DS has made to date.

Mahreen,  are you jumping to the conclusion that Avid is attempting to kill
off DS or has there been discussion of that elsewhere?  It would seem like
a foolish thing for them to do, but stranger things have happened in the
broadcast TV world.

My reseller for DS was dumped by Avid, so I am an orphan, the new reseller
is not up to speed yet. Still, my multistream upgrade is being handled by
the old reseller,  who no longer has access to the reseller support network
that DS supplies other resellers.  I am in Avid/SoftImage hell!

Wish me luck!

Sam Small
