The only way that I can think of to do this is if you could use a link
transition with the button. I don't know if there is a delay between
pressing the button and the transition? This feature is available in
Encore v2.

What's happening now is that I'm using the menu palatte and when I use the pick whip to tie it to the wav, it just sits there and clicks... like on a 5 second interval.
I've read the manuals and can't find any where it talks about adding a sfx to a button... in the fashion that I'm going for here. Does that help?

what do you mean by click to marry a button. Did you rightclick and
select "turn this object into a button". Please be more specific.
