I know he’s not there for the List, what People don’t seems to understand is, that AVID had nothing to do with the closing of the List,

There was no Conspiracy, no Retaliation, the old List was getting very tough to handle on the “ Internet side”, it was old and had trouble keeping up with the actual flow of emails. And it was requiring “extra time” to fix it when viruses were hitting, the decision was purely based on the time to maintain it properly. With the Google List, it’s a dedicated server and nobody really needs to maintain it.

I won’t miss this List at all, since the other one is working great and we have access to the same knowledge but way faster.

 

People in Montreal didn’t really had anymore time to maintain that server and doing their regular job.

Sylvain is in Tewksbury, so I think he will close the List next week, and my bet is, Sylvain will have the last Post and it will be something like this:

UNSUBSCRIBE MAJORDOMO (at) Softimage.com, BUT he will send it at the wrong address and then red arrow will appear and People are going to laugh and talk about Poutine, Anthlers, etc.

And then we’ll say: well that was the good old days and how DS is a great product and then:

BOOM!  no more emails ….
