I really don't understand the new override system. each time we need to edit a shader in a partition with an override we must delete this override before editing the tree :-(.

Here is the way I do when I need to edit a material locked by override :

Duplicate the pass and delete all the override in the new pass. Then edit the shaders in this pass and switch in the "overrided pass" to see a render region for example. Completly crazy i know, but I can't find an other way :-/

At least a button to temporary disable the override would help.

Hope this help.

Did anyone work out a way round the idiot paramater locking when overrides
are put onto a partition. I'm in the slightly odd situation where I've put
an override on a node parameter in a rather large rendertree and it's locked
every parameter on every node in the tree. The real killer is that it's not
letting me override any other parameter in the tree. This can't be right,
surely?
